is there such a thing as underground watering systems for lawns? i live in las vegas where we have big time water issues. i was wondering if there are underground water systems for lawns that would cut own on evaporation and amount of water used. i want to put in a small lawn in my backyard but only if i can water it efficiently.
can anyone give me some info on underground lawn watering systems? like how much water they use per sq. ft., cost of installation versus traditional irrigation, and any maintenance issues you are aware of.

I know what you are putting up with and there are many products on the market for areas such as yours. It would be best to call and talk to nurseries or landscape owners in your immediate area. They have or know about what you need. You can also call and talk with your local County Extension Service/Agent. They will be happy to answer your questions. Don’t be shy, your taxes pay for this free service.

there are many types of underground watering systems out thei now a days… some for the do it yourselfer. to the kind installed by landscappers…. so you can shop around at the local garden stores to look for one or call a landscapper for an estamate!!!
