Grab a book on “do it yourself” waterfalls at Home Depot. I could give you the lowdown, but it is easier to refer to a book with sketches and pictures, than a bunch of text in an answer column.

    First you need to decide where you will put it and what size it will be.
    Have you decieded on what type of water fall you want. Do you already have a theme or “type” of garden at this time. For example, would you be interested in Japanese, contemporary, or just a couple of barrels pouring into one another.
    They have plastic “cascading rocks” that you can put together to have the water cascade of off them into a basin. all made of plastic.
    Your most important item would be your pump. Depending on how high the hose will be going you will need a strong pump to get the water up that high. Talk to you gardening supply store for the different sizes.
