dunno but what they use here is sprinkler heads which are slightly below the surface and pop up when the water is turned on.

    At almost any hardware store.

    You can make them yourself…buy a 10′ length of 4″ PVC and cut in about 10″ or 12″ lengths, then slip them over the sprinkler head (if they are pop-ups)down far enough to cover the head about 2″. Paint them green, so they will blend better with the grass. If they aren’t Pop-ups, bury them just below the head itself. Either way, you can weed wack around them.

    I would call the company that installed the system to get replacement parts. Or try your local home improvement store.
