Buying our Natural Organic Products From our Normal Grocery Store
August 31, 2010
Buying our Natural Organic Products From our Normal Grocery Store
Itâ??s not always easy to find natural organic products for the person who has already gone organic, so you can imagine what type of hurdle that might be for those who are still only looking to go organic. Many people, despite their good intentions, will balk at having to buy their weekly grocery supplies from a health food or specialty store.
Over and above the prohibitive cost you would more than likely incur, is the ingrained dislike of anything that is even remotely thought of as good for you. This naturally enough stems for our childhoods when â??goodâ? was almost literally shoved down our throats with the expectation that we would grow to like everything green and nasty tasting.
The funny thing is, that we do (to a very great extent â?? there are a few exceptions!), but we would still readily enough cut off our noses to spite our faces and stay from our good resolutions to buy natural organic products if we had to find our way through a health food store.
Buying our natural organic products from our normal grocery store or supermarket almost makes it seem like a natural (if you will excuse the pun) exercise in grocery shopping. Sure our monthly grocery bill would go up, but we would still have the satisfaction of knowing that we purchased our natural organic products not from a health food store!
However, all of that notwithstanding, when you go to buy your natural organic products be it at the health food store, or the grocerâ??s around the corner, there are a few things that you will want to look out for, and these involve the small matter of seals. Not the marine or the army variety, but the variety which involves a stamp or a certification of some sort.
The most commonly recognized of these seals is the USDA seal of organic certification. There are many such different seals for the numerous natural organic products, but it is best if you first learn about them. For instance even though an organic product might be USDA certified, it doesnâ??t necessarily have to have 100% of organic products contained within its packaging.
In fact, unless it specifically states on the packaging that you are buying a 100% Organic product, you will most likely be getting natural organic products which have only 95% of organic produce or even only a minimum of natural organic products contained within it.
As mentioned earlier, the easiest way to tell the difference is by carefully looking at the packaging of the natural organic products that you are buying. â??100% Organicâ? will give you (not unnaturally enough) a hundred percent of organic produce in your products.
A simple â??Organicâ?, will yield over 95% of organic products in your foods, and the very misleading â??Made with Organic Productsâ? will be the one to give you a minimum of only 70% of organic products found within the bounds of the packaging.

Haha, how funny! I mean, it’s not funny that you’re scared of the frog, it’s just funny that there was a giant fake looking frog that turned out to be real. We used to have a bug zapper on the house, and some very crafty little toads would come sit under it every night to catch the dead insects.
Anyway, here are some good luck/bad luck myths. Hope this helps!
Sometimes, cultures associated frogs with good and bad fortune.
* In Japan, frogs are the symbols of Good Luck. One myth I read dealt with the idea that bullfrogs are descended from a great ancestor who could suck all the mosquitoes out of a whole room in a single breath!
* Some myths are less favoring to frogs and toads. Some folklorists* have claimed that “If the first frog that you see in the spring is sitting on dry ground, it signifies that during the same year you will shed as many tears as the frog would require to swim away in.” If, on the other hand, the first frog of spring jumps into the water, you’ll experience misfortune all year! However, if the springs’ first “hoptoad” come jumping in your direction, you will have many friends; if it jumps away from you, you will lose some.
(sounds to me like it’s best not to run into the first spring frog!)
* Some less enlightened people associate frogs, and Toads in particular, as evil incarnations of demons or devils!

pretty much any seed will grow but burpee is a good brand.any seed is organic as long as you dont use any kind of hormones to feed them and make sure you have nice healthy tilled soil to start and plenty of sun. of course this time of year is too late to plant most things. good luck=)

The Pampas Cat
August 31, 2010
The Pampas Cat
Pampas Cat, also known as Grass Cat, grows up to three feet in length including its one foot tail and stands a foot tall at the shoulders. Weight is around ten pounds.
With a broad face and pointed ears, Pampas Cat has quite diverse coloration in different parts of its range. Fur length varies as does the color, ranging from red to yellow and gray with a variety of spots and stripes on the body. Nose is pink and brownish bars run across face and upper forelegs. Melanistic individuals have been recorded. Ears are gray on the back and have a central white spot in the cats living in northern parts in contrast to the southern dwelling felines which have plain ears. A small mane runs across its back and this along with the somewhat bushy tail gets erect to make the cat look bigger when it feels threatened.
A predominantly nocturnal felid, Pampas Cat prefers moist jungles and open plains of Patagonia, residing at times at high altitudes. It preys upon small animals including rodents, birds including pigeons as well as domestic poultry in areas where human settlements are close by. Leopardus Pajeros, it is believed to be predominantly a terrestrial hunter.
A number of subspecies are recognized based upon regional differences in coloration and overall appearance across South America:
Leopardus Pajeros Pajeros – Argentina, Chile
Leopardus Pajeros Budini – Argentina
Leopardus Pajeros Crespoi – Chile
Leopardus Pajeros Colocolo – Chile
Leopardus Pajeros Braccata – Argentina, Brazil
Leopardus Pajeros Thomasi – Ecuador
Leopardus Pajeros Garleppi – Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru
Pampas Cats come into estrus halfway into the year, in the months of May, June and give birth to a small litter of two kittens on average after a pregnancy lasting nearly eighty days. Maturity is reached at around twenty one months. Longevity in captivity is known to be up to sixteen years, though the average lifespan is about half of this.
