Question by Devin: How to take care of grass plugs?
I’m thinking of putting down st. augustine grass plugs in my backyard, but I wanted to know somethings first. One, how do you mow them or how long do you wait until you can mow them? Secondly, about how long before I can expect to see great results if I take care of them properly (mowing, watering, etc.)?
I didn’t want sod because plugs are cheaper…

If you lay down ‘plugs’ you won’t be mowing anytime soon. You’ll be concentrating on keeping the soil moist and well fertilized (every 2-3 weeks). Why not sod it?
