Answer by Saint Omega There are so many variables involved in landscaping jobs it’s almost impossible to give or determine an average or typical price for a job. Even if you’re talking about basic lawn/grounds maintenance, the costs could vary dramatically from one yard to the next of the exact same square footage based on what exactly is expected and the number of beds there are to be maintained, etc.
I suggest you grab a phone book and look up reputable landscape companies in your area and get estimates from them and make comparisons. And don’t be shy about asking for references! Most established, legitimate landscape companies will happily give references and many will also give free estimates.
There are a multitude of lawn care outfits who claim to know all about landscaping and irrigation who in fact know next to nothing, so do not assume the least expensive are as capable and knowledgeable as some of the others. A landscape project can be extremely expensive no matter who does it, so it’s well worth the extra cost (and peace of mind) to have a reputable “tried and true” company do the work. A landscape project gone awry can be a real nightmare and end up costing you far more in renovation and repair than had you spent the extra coin to have the pros do it to begin with.
So the answer is, there is no “normal” pay rate because every job is different. Just talk with the best and you’ll get your answers straight up. Deal with the others and you might end up in the Twilight Zone of broken sprinklers, dead plants, flooding and phone numbers which are no longer in service.

I’m a supporter of free speech, but am appalled that this people can get within a mile of a memorial service or funeral to protest. What are your feelings? How would you feel if you were burying a relative and these people showed up to protest?

this is a video i made so long ago. i have not changed anything in it, no recomposing, no remixing. if i remember correctly, i made the music one summer afternoon. i was supposed to mow the lawn but couldn’t because of rain. so i had some time to kill and i was bored and i think the internet service was down or not working and so no scrabble and so i decided to make a jam track consisting of bass, drums, muted rhythm guitar, and acoustic guitar. obviously the purpose of the jam track was to have something for playing electric guitar on top of. subconsciously… i think the whole thing was influenced by the band “the grateful dead”. i had about 3 songs of theirs in my mp3 collection but i rarely listen to them. i just kind of remember that one of their songs had a super-long guitar solo. that solo may be the sole influence on the creation of this thing, whatever this may be. weed music perhaps. i don’t know. call it whatever. rap music, crap music. oh wait it’s nothing like rap music. call it crap music then. call it whatever, i don’t care. anyways, i have only been “high” once in my life. it may not even be a true high since it was by way of secondhand smoke in a theater full of “pink floydish” type puffers, around midnight. to me… high seems to be the same as dizzy. i have never liked being dizzy. no offense to puffers, or anything. back to the matter of mowing lawns… i would rather rent sheep than use gas-powered lawn mowers, if sheep were cheaper.
